About us

Union Presbyterian Church is a small congregation of caring and thoughtful people. We are committed to following Jesus. We are serious about Bible study as a way to know God more fully.  We pray for one another and open ourselves to God in prayer. We are hospitable and welcoming. We worship together on Sunday mornings. We have a Sunday School for children that meets twice a month. Our youth have been going on work trips in the summer for a few years now. Each of us in our own way seeks to live a faithful life and to share together in fellowship. We are generous. We fund this church ourselves. We also support mission work locally, nationally and around the world telling the Good News of Jesus, alleviating hunger, working for peace and reconciliation in the world, supporting disaster relief, empowering people to help themselves. Locally we support the Lord’s Storehouse and SAFV. We are a member of the Presbytery of Wyoming, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the World Communion of Reformed Churches.

The church was founded in 1871 by Sheldon Jackson. We are the oldest church in Evanston.
